About the Artist

Lavar Morris always knew he was put on this Earth to create.  His love for all things art and creativity began at an early age.  Lavar believes we are all born with an innate ability to create art.  Lavar has a Bachelor’s of Art in Art from Eureka College in Illinois.  In addition, he studied media arts and animation at the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago. At his core, Lavar is an illustrator and has utilized many mediums, such as acrylic painting to fine arts with pencil, charcoal, and watercolor. He has also worked as a graphic designer and learned the art of tattooing along the way.   Art through digital media has become a new found passion for Lavar. Lavar is a father and works tirelessly to be a guiding light for his son.  Lavar’s resilient and persistent nature helped him rise up from a challenging childhood.  He is passionate about social justice and hopes his art will spark an awareness in people that will inspire change.  Through hard work, dedication, and patience, he strives to lead a life filled with passion and love by telling stories through art and creativity.
